L Completed her Master of Speech Pathology at Curtin University in 2024, and has since been working in the disability and private sectors supporting clients with their communication, feeding and swallowing.
She has gained considerable experience in providing Gender Affirming Voice and Communication Training, applying her understanding of the anatomy of voice, the principles of motor learning, and her own background as a singer. She has collaborated with other organisations and as a sole trader to support the trans community in Perth, and nationally over telehealth.
L approaches her work with curiosity, empathy, kindness and warmth, and has lived experience both with gender dysphoria and as a person with ADHD.
She takes a sincere interest in the passions of her clients to discover their interests and challenges – fueled by her own eclectic interests ranging from her pets, singing, learning new languages, Muay Thai, electronics repair, retro gaming, cosplay and watching K-dramas together with her wife.
As a Speech Pathologist, L also has a developing interest in acquired communication disorders, adult feeding and swallowing, and experience supporting neurodivergent adolescents and adults to communicate effectively and authentically.
